I didn’t want a JOB, as control of my time was my priority. I wanted to be a stay at home Mom and also bring in an income. An acquaintance (our daughters played ringette together) approached me at the arena. He asked me if I was open to a business opportunity, we talked and I came on board in February, 1995. Matt & Sherry Hackman are now dear friends.

I made a decent income, much more than the $11,000 a year as a secretary, during the years my children were growing. When they left the nest, Primerica became my full time career. It has provided Mike and I a life of financial freedom as well as time. Time for family, grandchildren, parents, friends, and travel, and I am so grateful.

The Regional Vice President position was attained in 2001, and my annual income grew to $100,000 in 2010 and $200,000 in 2019. I never could have achieved this with my high school diploma as a recording secretary. I now have a residual monthly income that was once my annual income.

The best part is making other people’s lives better. I admit, I was not a crusader at first. Not until I had a family member pass away without proper insurance, did I fully realize how important what we do for
families is! I have seen financial devastation averted with proper insurance protection. I have been in business long enough to be rewarded seeing my clients able to retire, buy homes, start their families, children attend college because I taught them the financial concepts no one else would. I sleep well knowing the company and I together do what is right for the client, every time!

Upon achieving ownership of my business in 2021, I am proud and honoured to have a legacy to pass on to my family, hopefully far, far in the future!
